Rescue ships head for submarine (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/3717906.stm)
A full scale emergency operation is under way to rescue a Canadian submarine drifting without power ... The submarine was travelling to Canada after being handed over to its new owner by the Royal Navy on Saturday ..A Canadian Navy spokesman said the sailors were "getting tossed to and fro something crazy."
The Times had reported previously that Canada was considering legal action over the ships.
Definately a case of 'buyer beware' & appropriate use !

you misunderstand, i'm fully aware of the toying nature of the posts. Hence me posting this useless crap. if i ws being serious i'd be the loudest voice crying for celine dion's head. brian adams problem is that all his songs are exactly the same (a car, a cliff, and a woman). Avril's not bad it's her groupie lemmings which annoy me, and no i have no excuse for KD Lang.

It seems everyone has ignored the obvious. Why does Canada need diesel subs? In modern submarine technology, diesels have be relegated to coastal defence by the likes of the blue-water fast attack nuclear submarines. So who is Canada defending its coast from? Waves of murderous seals and killer whales bent on capturing Canada's Strategic Maple Syrup Reserve?

So something should be done now? Will this change to nothing should have been done after the fact? I'm tempted to support just leaving Iran's nuclear *****ions to the UN, but we know how that would turn out. If I'm not mistaken, Iran's nuclear sites are well within B2 range.

Here is a wager: Even with the ships, Denmark's force was in no danger. Plenty of F-18s could have made the trip with at least token munitions.
