Setting up New Wireless at home

Lo again peeps. Here is what I got and am getting. I currently have a Linksys Cable Modem(BEFCMU10) plugged into the WAN port on my Linksys 4 port router (BEFSR41 v2) with two machines plugged into that. The router currently handles DHCP for the two machines and typical router duties. I have a Dell laptop on order with wireless and am getting the Linksys Wireless G- Router(WRT54G). I want to keep the wired machines seperated from the wireless connection. So I should plug the 54G into the SR41, right? Do I allow the 54G to handle DHCP to the laptop or let the laptop get it from the SR41 by disabling DHCP on the 54G? How is the best way that I should set this up? Wireless is something new to me, relatively. Or ... I just read the specs on the 54G. Should I just replace my SR41 with the 54G and let it handle all the duties? Gimme a hand here peoples.

I went through this same situation earlier this spring same make and models and all. The sr41 went to a friend the 54g does it all. I used the mac filter for the wireless which is a nice security feature also disabled the ssid broadcast, changed the ip addy and password for the 54g, used the highest encryption that my laptop and router could agree on, and set the dhcp server to hand out addy's. Had a problem getting the machines to browse the lan at first but I set my servers ip addy as a static hop in the advanced routing tab and all was well again. Hope this helps btw if you keep the sr41 you will need to add it as a static hop in the advance routing and set the working mode to gateway instead of router.
