I know I'm taking a risk talking about AOL here so please keep your critisizm to a minimum. I really have heard it all before.
But I'm using Comcast High Speed. Yesterday they sent me a free Logitech webcam to go with my High Speed Internet connection:
model number v-um14, part number 861092, serial number LNA 43010029
The problem is that every time I launch AOL it stays online for a few seconds and then freezes. If I access AOL through Internet Explorer, as I am doing now everything runs fine. But the problem with this is that I can't access my favorite places and have full functionality,
I've contacted Comcast about this and they typically are useless, telling me to contact AOL. AOL tells me to contact Logitech or Comcast. I've gone into the Logitech website and tried to find uninstall information for their camera and the info they gave me (clean install of camera) doesn't work.
I'm using a win98se machine.
Does anyone know how to get this camera and its drivers out of my machine?
PS: I have contacted the Microsoft Database regarding this. It tell me how to fix this temporarily so I can access AOL through Internet Explorer. It is done my uninstalling Dialup Networking and deleting 8 registry entries. If I didn't do this I wouldn't even be able to access AOL through Internet Explorer.
Thanks,
Orangeman:confused:

Note:
This problem has been Solved!
Repeat: This problem has been Solved
There is no further need to insult me because of my use of AOL, and now Comcast because the problem has been solved.
I went on to the Logitech website and found the answer. Evidently my Winsock drivers? were corrupted and had to be replaced.
Repeat, the probem has been solved!

Good for you! Its the best OS Microsoft ever made. (which unfortunately isn't saying much) Its compatible with everything, has all the bugs worked out, I know how to use it, I don't have to buy new software, and its cheap - about $15.00 on Ebay.
The only thing it doesn't have is automatic system recovery, who I have now because of GoBack. It still crashes a lot, but hey, ya can't have everything.
Now MS is set to come out with something called "Longhorn" in 2005. Tests so far reveal its a piece of sh!t.

No Joke, AOL DID put a block on it. I just downloaded it successfully using Internet Explorer.
BTW, It WAS VERY FUNNY!
Thanks,

(btw, AOL has corrected many of the problems listed in the video....except the 9-year-old kids writing f*ck) :p

are you serious about the blocking? ,,,so with aol , you can only use aol permitted internet?
get on the 24/7 freephone and ask why u can,t watch it?
anyway IE , is easier than the aol page ,,,
although more and more ISPs ,,at least in europe , are trying to geet you to log in to there web sites , to check mail,
question for you (in the states) ,,whilst your on aol ,,can you use FTP pro , and transfer files , to your old dial up website (not aol) ,,,or are you tied to doing it thru there phone No.??

Yes, AOL DID put a block on it. I wasn't able to download it on AOL but it downloaded very quickly when I used Internet Explorer.
As to AOL permitted internet, AOL also doesn't permit Kazaa, but it DOES permit Overnet. Explain that one...:D
As to FTP I can't answer your question. I have used FTP downloading but I don't know about FTP pro...
