I have never seen this happen! I have a user who has a Compaq laptop that has Win 98 installed. After defrag, there is no more space on the hard drive. It keeps making temp files in the Windows\temp directory! Delete one and then another one appears in it's place! Any ideas?

Eeek, never seen this either... when you say no more space do you mean, nothing reduced or the drive has filled up?
I take it you've done the usual virus/spyware thing?

Does the PP file contain macros that are externally linked?

Its certainly weird.... nothing running macro wise on the ppt file is there? Not a case of something trying to open the ppt file? What happens if you take the ppt file off the laptop?

That's what I suggested and the file was deleted and will have to access it via the CD-drive. Very odd happening..

So the problem disappeared once the file was removed?
