I dont internet radio like the broadcase like in your car ? hudsonsmith October 13th, 2004, 08:52 AM Go to the website of the station you want to listen to. Most offer a streaming version of their broadcast. Talonboy October 13th, 2004, 09:09 PM yeah i tried their site but cant find anything. Wasnt sure if there was any type of program where i could even change from station to station from my computer. My stupid brother broke my radio in my room so just to spite him i am not buying a new one. He doesnt know how to use the computer that well to figure out how to get the radio so he will have to go without it. I got the AOL streaming radio and love it but i also wanted to listen to my normal stations. NooNoo October 16th, 2004, 07:10 AM which stations are you after? You could always put in an fm pci card :D Talonboy October 16th, 2004, 12:31 PM that why i think i am going to do. Their site said they dont do live cause of the cost , BS ! its a major station. I am looking into FM tuner cards now. bookmarkmns October 17th, 2004, 05:35 PM Hi These may be useful. Try RadioTower www.radiotower.com or BoomBox www.jajsoft.com Radiotower website was unavailable as I write but it is a first class program. :) Talonboy October 17th, 2004, 10:36 PM but i keep seeing "online radio stations" I want REAL radio stations. Ebay here i come for the tuner card. Talonboy October 20th, 2004, 05:14 PM ok i been looking into getting the tuner card. Ok, i have to get a TV tuner card that has a FM radio tuenr built into it. I dont need TV on my computer i have on right next to me. The thing that i might think about upgrading is my sound card. Now if i could get just a decent soundcard with a tuner in it that would be awesome. I only have a Integrated Soundmax III Digital Audio which isnt much (came with the computer) and my g/f got me these awesome speakers with sub. So i figure the best bang for my buck would be a new soundcard combined with the new speakers would sound awesome which i perfect since i would be listening to the radio all the time. Anyone able to find anything like this ? I checked all local stores no luck , also tried ebay no luck. I was thinking about upgrading my integrted vid card for a ATi 9600XT all-in-wonder card. Now that has a tuner in it but i really dont need great graphs like that (128mb) cause i dont game anymore with my PC . OR am i just looking into this too much ;) TripleRLtd October 20th, 2004, 06:43 PM You may be looking into this too much. A tuner card can be quite inexpensive. I may be wrong, but I don't recall ever seeing a sound card with an integrated tuner. Video cards, yes. What is it you don't like about your onboard sound? If you really want to upgrade that, look into the Audigy lineup. Now upgrade video would really make a difference, even if you don't game. For one, you wouldn't be sharing memory any longer. So, what is it that you're really looking for now Talon? Talonboy October 20th, 2004, 09:16 PM yeah i guess i didnt even think about that, the vid card sharing memory since it is integrated. Hmmm i might get the Ati 9000XT All-in-wonder. That has the tuner and is 128mb. I found it for like 150 ish (shipping) maybe i will wait till i see one of them cheap. Do you think that i am buying name ? or are there other decent cards that have them ? sorry that is a ATI Radeon 9600XT ALL-IN-WONDER windrivers.com
