While the Bush campaign has tried to make this election about the personalities of Bush and Kerry it is really about the policies.
Bush has been reckless, stupid and reactionary.
He has one of the worst records of any President, ever.
Period.
End of debate.

Agreed. But Bush and his supporters always attack the person and not the issues. They are very good at misleading people out of blind allegience to this buffoon. They are too ignorant to face the truth that Bush is an utter and complete failure and is a danger to this country.

If Bush really was as bad as you say, why does he have a slight lead in most polls?

Are you trying to say that over 1/2 of the nation is ignorant and stupid?

Why would he even have a chance of re-election if he was the monster you claim?

It is ideas like this that are tearing this country apart. From both of you, I have seen nothing more than blind hatred and name calling. You both bring little to the argument except childish attitudes and mudslinging. Your extreme views do more to hurt your cause than help it. I would bet to say that you have helped create more votes for Bush here than for Kerry.

I am not here saying that Bush has done the greatest job ever. I do think that there are areas he will need to improve. I do also feel that Bush will do a better job leading this country over the next 4 years than Kerry would. I do not trust John Kerry, and do not think he should be the President.

...Are you trying to say that over 1/2 of the nation is ignorant and stupid?...

Yes,.. that's why the electoral college was created in the first place.

That's not what he said, but I agree with your analysis. Come on, even if we weren't talking about politics, can you really say that the majority of Americans are well-informed and intelligent? :)

I believe that a large proportion of the Bush voters are uninformed. Probably as many as the Kerry voters.
This country is tearing itself apart BECAUSE of Bush. It is not blind hatred of Bush it is the failures and the lies. It is the Bush campaign that turned this election into into a war of character assisination to hide the the issues and the Bush failures. You say Bush hasn't don'e the greatest job ever. I say it is is the one of the poorest jobs ever. But the campaign has been about fear, distortions and lies.
We didn't have this kind of campaign up until Bush. I blame him for it.
You say you don't "trust" John Kerry. How can you trust Bush? With the lies and misconceptions he has fostered?
After months and months of Bush propaganda I hear a lot of people saying "I don't trust Kerry". But that was never an issue til Bush started his smear campaign.
Bush has broken more campaign promises than any President ever.
I don't trust him based on his RECORD.
Now I fear with this election we may have to change our name to the Banana Republic of America after all those latin american countries where voter fraud is a way of life.

I told you people that he ran the nastiest campaign ever against Ann Richards, and that was a tough bitch that didn't back down from anyone. Why should he have tried anything different this time around, when it worked for him then, and against Gore?

Not to mention McCain.

He's not going to get away with it this time. The democrats have armies of lawyers waiting to keep Bush from cheating again. If we have to go without a president during a time of war, then so be it. I hope they keep this election tied up for 4 years until the NEXT election. Whatever it takes to keep Bush out of office.

Actually it went>>>Richards>>>McCain>>>Gore.

A lot of folks forget the crap he pulled on JM during the 2000 Primaries. There still a deep chasm there and there ain't nobody tougher than John McCain!

I guess when you are always right and God is on your side running a Bush campaign is easy. You do or say anything without regard to decency.
