With Bin Ladens recent video there can be no doubt he is trying to get Bush re-elected. Bin Laden is not stupid. Bush has done exactly what he hoped for. His recent video can be nothing other than attempt to get four more years of Bush.

Nope, just wondering where that revelation came from. See, I might jump Wrbby for what he beleives but at least he says why he beleives it. I would guess that it was Techs that was bored.

If Bush has done so badly with national security then why is Bin Laden resorting to videos instead of a terrorist outrage? Bin Laden has been neutralised as a threat for now.

Very astute observation.

His video does bring up the fact that he is still out there and is a threat...and, who is the best man to deal with him?

Since the polls show that Bush is perceived to be the better man to deal with terrorism...and of course Osama reads the polls...by coming out with this latest video, I can see how you think that he is indeed banking on Americans to think that he is still important. This justifies his existence...he can still effect things.

Maybe this helps Bush...maybe not. To me, it is just Osama having to be in the spotlight again.

Yeah,.. and we are stupid enough to allow this nimrod to be president who in turn allows this creep to run around sending us video tapes.

The most hated man by Americans tells us not to vote for Bush? Of course, this is an attempt to get Bush re-elected. Bush has done just what Bin Laden wants.

It's no secret that strong authoritarian types secretly admire each other.

Kinda reminds me of a scene in Star Trek VI where Klingon Gen. Chang tells of his admiration for Capt. Kirk.

MONSTER'S DEADLY WARNING TO 'RED' STATES (http://www.nypost.com/news/nationalnews/33124.htm)

The respected Middle East Media Research Institute, which monitors and translates Arabic media and Internet sites, said initial translations of a key portion of bin Laden's video rant to the American people Friday night missed an ostentatious bid by the Saudi-born terror master to divide American voters and tilt the election towards Democratic challenger John Kerry.

And,
MEMRI also translated an analysis of bin Laden's statement from the Islamist Web site al-Qal'a, well known for posting al-Qaeda messages, which agreed that bin Laden's use of the word "ay-wilaya" was meant as a "warning to every U.S state separately."

"It means that any U.S. state that will choose to vote for the white thug Bush as president, it means that it chose to fight us and we will consider it an enemy to us, and any state that will vote against Bush, it means that it chose to make peace with us and we will not characterize it as an enemy," the Web site said, according to MEMRI's translation.

So, according to the maginifico Osama, if you vote for Kerry, you will remain safe. If you vote for Bush, you will be considered an enemy. Gee, I wonder where he learned that lesson? Can you say, "SPAIN"?

That tape that Osama bin Laden released the other day sees to have been specifically designed to play into Kerry's belief system: "Stop attacking us and we will stop attacking you. Appease us and you will be safe."

Decades ago the Saudis tried appeasement by making a pact with the devil -- the bad guys could operate FROM Saudi Arabia so long as they didn't operate IN Saudi Arabia.

The Saudis have since learned what history always teaches us: Those whom you would attempt to appease, don't stay appeased. You can rent peace through appeasement, but you can't buy it.
