15 dbi omni with 19 dbi grid antenna

i have not done this b4...two different antenna attach to a splitter
15 omni & 19 grid dbi...is this feasible?? how the radio gonna handle this?
i'm a newbie so pls be kind enough to explain it thouroughly...ty
