Like last year, HomeLAN (http://www.homelanfed.com/) is doing its annual year end Q&A articles asking various folks from gaming industry what they thought about the year in games that was. Today, it's Scott Miller from 3D Realms (http://www.homelanfed.com/index.php?id=27781) and Matt Aster of Max Gaming Technology (http://www.homelanfed.com/index.php?id=27780). Here's an excerpt: HomeLAN - What video or PC game that was released in 2004 that you played was the most disappointing and why?

Scott Miller - Doom 3, simply because it didn't really have many of the qualities of a good story, such as character motivation (other than: save my life), character arc, plot twists, and so on. The story was more about exposition and fact finding, and all of the PDA stuff dragged the game down. Still a good game, but nonetheless, a letdown.
