Well i will say it like this.

Richards arrival and the jobs undertaken on Richards first day, have served o make the regular inhabitants sit up in their chairs in alarm. CHANGES.......

With the banning of some popular and loyal windrivers members the remaining loyal members are wondering what the writing on the wall is.

Rumours are flying that similar forums run by same admins have had lounges removed so lizards have nowhere to sit.

Rumours are a funny thing, they can grow into epics and make massive amounts of problem for all concerned.

As a member and loyal windrivers supporter I would like to publicly ask the following questions.

Is the lounge to be removed as has happened to other internet.com enterprises?
Is the community and the way it is run to be changed at all?
Are there going to be any changes to mods?
Is the Most valuable chatroom going to continue to exist as it is?
Where is Scott, Wasn't he manging editor of the forums?


I am sorry if the admins do not think it is my business to ask these question and not give a response, but the community would like to know of changes in the wind and new ideas that you have for the running of the forums.

So I guess WD is going to finally understand what I have been saying for months and months now. About how it feels to have decency forced up people. The way a corporation muscles it's way in on a smaller organization and cleans up shop. For months and months now people have been calling me crazy and that this sort of thing doesn't happen and that I am overreacting. Well now it is happening here. But thats ok. I have set my expectations and I am prepared. I also understand that it's not just here, but we will begin to see more and more of this as time goes on.

My predictions:

- Examples will be made of members in order to tone this place down. If lessons are not learned, then tougher examples will be set. Again,.. fear is an excellent tool for controlling the masses.
- All non-tech related forums will disappear as this site is to become a money making operation and not a hang out for nerds.
- Custom avatar, signature, etc.? Gone. Sorry.
- You will see more mods and mods more often.

So there you have it. Just remember where you heard it first. :thumbs:

Well geesh, I have to say that you are going to lose this battle, as well as anyone else thinking like you are.
They OWN this place!!! They have for years! What the heck is the difference after all? Before that it was Scott! This place has always been owned by someone. Someone has always been in charge. And, sometimes they have been wrong! So, give the guy a chance and hope that what he "saw" over the last year was mostly good. Plus, hope that he has reliable people here to advise him. Something NooNoo has already provided it would seem.
I would certainly miss many of you all if they closed this place down because of all the negativity I've witnessed since the day I joined here!

This is the best logic of all right now. No one knows what's going on and we are all jumping to conclusions. Meatwad was banned and now he's back.
