I recently updated my drivers for my video card on my compaq (the card is a Nvidia Geforce 4 MX 440, 64mb) and ever since, the colors were screwed up when i played games that have higher requirements. I reverted back to the old version of the driver so that the colors would look normal again, but they are really out of date. I took the moniter off of my compaq and stuck it on my dell to see if it was the moniter that was having the problem, and the colors run fine on my dell. My dell is using a FX 5200 (256mb) and i thought mabey the card being different could have some effect on how the moniter judges the colors? The driver is the same ver. now as it was on my compaq when it wasnt working. Any suggestions on how i could get the colors to work with this moniter on my Compaq would help.
1 other thing: I tried to find a driver for this moniter, but it is extremely old, and i couldnt find anything. Its a 1024 Low Emissions (by HP).
Thanks ;)
Update: Alright, so i stuck our newer moniter on the compaq. Apparently the problem is with the videocard, not the moniter, and until someone could point out how to fix the colors problem, I will just revert to an older version of the graphics card driver that does work with my videocard. Thanks if anyone can figure anything out.
