When I leave my computer and the screensaver pops on after a while it will freeze up and sometimes I get this error message. Exception OE has occured at 0028:C15A95ed in VxD CWCMMSYS(01) + 0000272D
Can you help me stop this? Thanks

This error is very general for Windows 98 and to be quite honest it could be a hardware or software problem with Windows 98. The freezing up in the screensaver makes you think Video card or driver problem and the CWCMMSYS in the error code tend to point to a crystal based sound card. I am not sure if you have one of these or not but it is a place to look. The idea way to troubleshoot a problem like this in Win98 is to get an extra hard drive and do a clean install of Win98 and see if the error goes away. If it does not then you know it is a hardware error of some type and it is time to test or swap a piece at as time until it goes away.
I wish there was an easy answer here but it is Win98 and stability was not one of it's strong points.
