I've been working on a Compaq Presario S3010CL with Windows XP Home Edition. I have all the latest updates and Service PAcks. I've preformed an "In-Place" install of the XP Home. I have the latest BIOS update. I've turned off page filing. When I go to shutdown it hangs at "Windows Is Shutting Down". I've turned off anything at startup (using MSCONFIG). No viruses / hijackers / or spyware on the system. It does shut down in SAFE MODE fine. I'm out of ideas...

Thank You.

Look in control panel/power options
