Lower velocity means lower penetration which makes the round less likely to go busting through the bad guy, the wall behind him, and your kid. Lethality and stopping power aren't comprimised at close range as a low velocity round that stops in a guy does more damage than a high velocity round that goes straight through him. craigmodius December 28th, 2004, 06:52 PM cowboy load.
