In the end we lost 2 mods and a bunch of loser posters cause they couldn't get along. At least that is what I htink happened, nobody ever really explained it, even though I had loads of fun fanning flames

Nutshell:

We used to have different people here, one of them was Daren Wilson, the super mod.

Daren took/borrowed money from a good # of folks to come and visit them here in the UAS (he's from England) and never paid them back.

He had been gone for some time and he returned to WD to a good number of harangues in what was called the "steam room", a forum that was unmoderated.

The acting super mod got involved and Scott did not respond to his e-mails. The Super mod got POed and quit, and created his own site where several people went to and still go.

Scott closed all the threads and got rid of the steam room for good.

We have had several of thesearguments about nothing and the consequent "migrations" that followed. In the end most folks continue to come back here, if not just once in a while.

WD and the spin off forums are a family of people who have been speaking to each other from before 2000. Several of us have logons to all of the spinoff sites and some just a few.

We only have one mod that gets involved in schtuff, so we can't really pit them against each other anymore.

Because we all became friends over the years. I was not one of the folks he visited.

Why should he? It was a non moderated room and the topic was pure BS and he didn't want to deal with it. Scott had other things to do but Curt's viewpoint was that he was spending 20 hours a week working on the forums without pay and deserved better treatment. I can't blame either of them in retrospect.

Not alowed to say in the past and some of them don't want others coming to them. Danimal, Cobra and Curt all have/had their own forums.

There is only one mod that gets involved because there is only 1 mod for the lounge where most of this "schtuff" happens.

As far as pitting us against one another, it won't happen. better communication and level heads have made a big difference since days past.
