New Years vs Valentine

Honestly, I think New Years is worse, Valentine is so vocally a couple thing, it is expected to have huge pockets of resistance against it. New Years is a much more subtle tear at you gut wrenching sucks to have no date ordeal as it is a bigger day for everyone as well.

valentine definitely takes the win on this one for me, considering it is a celebration for lovers, but new years is plenty enjoyable for me, it's a family/friends oriented celebration in my case...in fact, during my more selfish years, i would leave the gf at home without hesitation on that occasion... :(

I met my wife at a New Year's Eve Party and it opened the door for a great Valentine's Day. Actually the last 23 years have been pretty dayum great. :D

Always opposite for me, like I said. V-day was so blatant that it made it so easy to make fun of it. I actually hated that day more while involved.

personally i think christmas is more difficult when single than new years or valetine. valetine just comes and then goes when and isn't that big of a deal when single.

I disagree, on Christmas and New Years you can just hang with family and friends, but if you don't have a special lady on Valentine's day all the couples everywhere only serve to shove your loneliness down your throat.
Being alone when it seems everyone else has somebody isn't much fun.
