Hey, since I have you here, am I ok to delete one post for every one I post, keeping me at 9999, it sort of has special meaning to me and all? Some people have been complaining about it. Well freddy is no longer, so that leaves just Confus-ed. Is it appropriate to refer to him as people, or person? What a damn shame... NooNoo December 31st, 2004, 03:10 PM so the question is: why have you allowed Ya_know to run riot , and remove BOTH tech answers , and lounge "padding" answers with your full knolage? Ya_know did this with my full knowledge? Alan, I have a small problem irl, you may have heard about it. I had a chance to have some time with just me and my kids. You begrudge me this? No, I didn't know Ya_know was doing this. I didn't look at my emails. I am a very very bad mod because I put my children before the likes of you. It is NOT my fault that I am the only mod in the lounge. It is not my fault you chose to behave the way you have, nor is it my fault that others behaved the way they have. It was and is your choice how you behave. If people choose to say or do things on a forum, just how do you expect me to control them? All of you have put me in a lose lose situation. I sincerely hope you are pleased with your choices. I choose to ignore your silly antics and do something important like the washing up. kato2274 December 31st, 2004, 03:13 PM Ya_know did this with my full knowledge? But, nor is there a reason for a general "scolding", since, many here DO try to help, and are not fire starters. confus-ed likes to call himself a "guest mod" simply because he does perform that job. In fact, many of us, whether you realize it or not, do the same exact thing. When people see our names up on the board as "currently active", it does make a difference to many members. Even, in some cases, when it's not a moderator. That is why new members pm us. The truth is, joined date and post counts do matter. Just not always in a "good" sense. NooNoo, there are many people here who care about this place and work to keep it a great place. You do know that, right? Tekboy January 1st, 2005, 12:36 AM This is a sad day here. I have grown to care about all the regulars on this forum, and it sickens me to see this happen. Lots of self-absorbed and co-dependant garbage here. I am on some other forums where I do not see such behavior. I will go there now. Happy new year, all of you, and especially NooNoo. You have a tough job here, and I for one do not envy you for having it. May you and your children come to know peace and serenity in the new year. :) TechZ January 1st, 2005, 04:00 AM NooNoo, from the previous two posts (and many others), you can see how much many of us do care about the boards, its sad when things sometimes get out of control, but every member needs to know that even teh Lounge has limits/rules and basic decency that goes with posting, sure break it once in a while, but if thats all you do, then youre nothing, but a waste. cookin chef January 1st, 2005, 12:36 PM Noo must be exhausted from everything. What if Noo takes a break from WD and have someone else temporarily mod this place. TechZ January 1st, 2005, 12:39 PM congrats on 1k cookin chef, and I think NooNoo takes one/two days off when it gets too much, she deserves alot more though. Like more help all the time, other forums rely on their mods to answer tech queries, this entire forum relies on one official Mod, NooNoo, and the rest of us as well, though we mean nothing to them. cookin chef January 1st, 2005, 12:56 PM congrats on 1k cookin chef, and I think NooNoo takes one/two days off when it gets too much, she deserves alot more though. Frankly I am ready to ask richard to turn post count off for ever. It causes more problems than anything else. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek ! Oh noo noo, noo noo, NO ! :D I must speak out as 'wotpp guru' ... Post count doesn't cause any problems, its people & their 'interactions' who do that ! :p Any deleting of technical posts other than for clarity sakes is bad, thats the purpose of the site, to record technical stuff that might help in context.. & keeping a record of a members achivements with that is good & to be encouraged & deserves some recognition. Wotpp's & PP's can vary hugely 'in quality terms' & even though there are some very informative gems wrapped up in all the pooh, as well as some interesting perspectives & a fair bit of humour, but these at a tech site should carry no 'reward' .. So methinks as suggested previously, no post counts for non technical stuff & lets find out who answers technical stuff & who doesn't ! If you must do away with post counts bring back 'tech stars' to aid new users in knowing who's advice is worth trying .. ilovetheusers January 4th, 2005, 04:49 PM Topic closed. I'll miss Freddy.
