Hi there
Can anyone suggest how to fix this please ?
I've recently re formatted and re installed XP professional. After installing Intervideo software to run my video card, my pc re starts when I hit the shut down button
Any suggestions would be welcomed
Thanks

Have you taken a look under the Power Options in the Control Panel?

Go to device manager choose view hidden devices and look for something with a red X on it called nt power management
If you find it right click it and choose enable

You might want to do elimination process of zeroing on which elements may causing the problem.
Software
you may want to uninstall the software and see if this has any effect.
Another thing is probably you might want to check if the version is compatible with yr OS.
Hardware
You may want to change the video card to see if that could be the cause.
