I have an NVIDIA AGP with tv out, Win XP PRO, 200gig hardrive, 1gig memory. My problem is that I can not watch avi or mpeg files on my tv when I play them on my computer. I had to reformat a little while ago, and before I did the reformat when I would right click on a movie file I would have the option to "watch on my tv". After the reformat and all the driver installations that option was no longer there and I was not able to watch ANY avi, mpeg, etc. on my tv. Is there a certain codec or new video driver that will give me that option? I would really like to be able to watch my downloaded files on my tv.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums BraddB,
Which nVidia card do you have? In the Display Properties, you can set it to either output device, TV or monitor, or both.

The NVIDIA card I have is the GEFORCE 4 MX 440 with AGP8x. In the display properties it is set for both. I am still trying to figure out what happend to the option of "watch on my tv" when I right click on a movie file. Once I re-formatted my hardrive it was no longer there.

Have you tried reinstalling everything on the Nvidia disc that came with the card?

I have a 6800GT that did the exact same thing using the 67.93 drivers. I switched back to the drivers that came with the card and the TV out worked fine.
