playing mice

Hi guys,

My mice is gone crazy. It's playing by its self. It opens programs and then closes it or executes many programs simultaneously. In addition
it swings and vibrates a lot.

I went to the market to grab a new one, but the problem persist.

Good to mention that I just upgraded my motherboard and RAM.

Try booting into safe mode, does the problem persist there?

To get into safe mode, when booting hit f8 before windows starts to load, and select safemode option...

PS2 or USB? Which ever you have, try the other input type.

Also, have you ruled out a keyboard issue as well? You may want to try another keyboard.

This could also be spyware or a virus, but if you can't function in windows adequately it's hard to scan or remove anything like that. If you disconnect the mouse entirely, and boot with just a keyboard, no mouse driver should load. Then you can function with just the keyboard, but it takes some previous keyboard navigation experience to pull that off smooth…but you might be able to work some, and try to scan for malicious programs…

Also, since the Mobo upgrade, did the system ever work normally? If not, bingo. You may need to reinstall or at least repair windows...

The problem starts at a specific time, its not like that its playing around everytime. But when it starts, its almost impossible to stop and hence I have to press restart button from the System to shut it off.

1. I've PS2, but have only two ports, one for keyboard and other for the mice.

2. No, Keyboard's running fine.

3. I scanned my pc through Ad-aware 6 and Mcafee Virus Sacn 8, but nothing came up.

4. After the Mobo upgrade my pc ran smoothly for couple of days, but now this mice is getting me some pain in my a*s.
