Can anyone find a source for the Windows mobile 2002 or 2003 ROM image in English for me to upload to this lovely peice of kit - PLEASE !

There was a link in the archive section but it is no longer valid on the panasonic sites.... HELP !

The site appears to be down at the moment, but have you attempted to contact Panasonic Customer Service (http://www.panasonic.com/support/contact_us.asp) ?

OOPS!!!

Did you buy it from Ebay?

You can find downloads from Panasonic/UK here:
http://www.panasonic.co.uk/customer-Support/download-centre.asp

Not really much help there for your particular problem tho.

Also, notice the links to Contact Panasonic via email. They might be able to help you out best.

If you have proof of purchase, you could always ask them to resupply.

Was it listed as German when it was sold? - If not, maybe try to convince the seller into a refund.

Or simply phone Panasonic and ask them for an English licence?

I have merged these two threads as they are discussing the same thing.

So, that is why things may seem out of sync.

It was in the "fine print" but to get one of these brand new for £100 was a bargain, complete with the Panasonic barcode reader attachment :)

The only bummer is Panasonic being so "anal" and not allowing owners to reload thier own unit just to make cash for service...

Good idea, I debated that myself earlier on.

Oohhhh, ICEX the company I bought it off are official Panasonic distributors and service, my 2 year warranty is fully valid and they are now trying on my behalf to get the ROM files... keep looking folks - we might get a result yet ;)

As for the Panasonic service team and thier prices.... :butt: :flame:

Welcome to Windrivers BalticDesign. You must contact either Panasonic or the company from whom you bought the unit as the previous posters have done.

I have a P1 MK1 with factory loaded PPC Ver. 3.0.11171 (Build 11178) English.

Anybody know, how this ROM may be downloaded, I may do it & share it.

P.S.
And also... anybody know, in case with P1 MK1 upgrade to OS later than PPC Ver. 3.0.11171 is possible?

Just checked the version of 2002 that they have loaded and that too is Ver. 3.0.11171

I will ask ICEX if they have utility software needed... :)

Sorry if offtopic.

May be anybody face with a problem when P1 do full reset (aka hard reset) after ejecting & inserting main battery?

Anybody try replace backup battery (aka sub-battery) ?

Any comments please...
