Ok I recently have had to format my hard drive. I reinstalled my operating system, Windows XP, and have successfully installed all the drivers also. Including my sound driver. But theres still a problem..... my sound will not work at all. I have tried everything i no how to do. i have a reciever hooked up to my sound card, nd off that reciever i have 5 speakers. It's a home theater. I have checked to see if my drivers were working properly nd they were. There has also been no errors or anything of that kind. The volume is up, the computer is set up on the right device, nd i have the latest drivers. I need some help real bad.... i'm tired of being on the computer with no sound!!!! Thankz for all your help.

I have a Dell Dimension 8250 computer w/ pentium 4 CPU nd 512 of RAM... not really sure what the sound card is but it is in a PCI slot.

Seems its a Sound Blaster Live! Digital Sound Card,

First install this:
http://download.creative.com/files/LiveDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe

then, http://files.americas.creative.com/manualdn/Drivers/Others/8265/0x4F656EC1/SBL5DL_PCPatch_LB_3.exe

Ok it said i did not have a Sound Blaster Live! Digital Sound Card. But i dont understand because it took those drivers off of the cd nd said that they were the right ones
