dvd - rw COMPABILITY

Help me to decide following problems:

I have two computers - one desktop with "Toshiba ODD-DVD SD-R5272"
DVD+/-RW and Laptop Compaq Presario 2700 with
"LG DVD-ROM DRN8080B" DVD-ROM.
After writing on DVD-RW or DVD+RW disks with
"Toshiba ODD-DVD SD-R5272" I could not read them on "LG DVD-ROM DRN8080B". I select in the writing
programm CDBurnerXP Pro ver. 3.0.116 options
"Finalaze Disk" and "DVD High compatibility" but no any results ~~:-(
So I tryed to use Nero Burning last version - the same result.
DVD-R disks are read without any problems, but DVD-RW and DVD+RW. I read in the Net that problems with compatibility are known with DVD+RW disks. Why I could not read DVD-RW?
