Hi.. can somebody please help?

I need to increase my Desktop space (have all my application toolbars on secondary monitor and my working window on the primary one). I have a Desktop with Windows XP and the Motherboard has a builtin nVidia graphics card. The card supports multiple monitors as far as I know but there is only 1 VGA output available. If I connect a simple VGA splitter will I be able to use the multiple monitor feature or do I need additional hardware?

Thanks

Does the video card in your computer have a DVI port on it. If it does there is a pretty cheap VGA adapter, which would plug into the DVI port which would give you two VGA ports. The adapter would cost about $5-$10, or you could buy a new video card with the DVI port, but that could run you about forty dollars. No matter what though you will need two VGA ports to do what you're trying to do.
