I installed a used TDK 4X DVD Burned into a computer here at work. This replaced an older CD-RW Drive. I say used because I know that pre recoreded audio cds played just fine before.
Everything seemed to be going fine until the user tried to play a pre recorded audio cd in the drive. Data CDs come up just fine as do burned audio cds.
I have replaced the ide cable, updated the firmware on the drive and changed all bios drive settings to AUTO.
Any ideas??

First of all, what OS is it, and what software, if any was used to install the drive? Will it burn disks? You may wish to look in the Folder Options at file associations.
Best I can do without more info.

The OS is windows XP. I installed Roxio Suite With it. Easy CD & DVD Creator, drag to disk, and roxio media player.
It will play burned audio cds, it will open prerecorded and burned data disks.
