Hi javerri,
That unit is a normal IDE CD-RW that has been known to be supplied in Compaq systems, so fitting it probably wouldn't be a problem. Is there an existing CD writer that this one would replace? If so, the burning software possibly would be specifically keyed to the original drive, and may not work with the CDD4801.
