I just purchased and installed an Nvidia GeForce 6600 GT video card. Installed the base drivers from the disc that came with the card and updated the drivers to the most current version via Nvidia's website.
Every few times I turn my computer on, I get an error message box reading:
"Could not start GPCIDRV Driver"
It doesn't seem to be affecting the performance of the machine. I am curious if anyone knows what this is or how to fix this error.
Thanks in advance for any advice or help.

Are you sure about the spelling there -Z-?
GPCIDRV?

Just got the error again, spelling was right.

Tried running a google search with no luck. Hoping someone has heard of this error.

You're not alone,
I'm having the same problem overhere.
question; do you have a Gigabyte Graphicscard, cause I have a feeling it's related to that....
Hope someone knows more.

I am running the Gigabyte Graphics Utility, it could have something to do with that.
I haven't noticed any performance degradation, and the error only pops up once out of every 6 reboots.
Wish I had some info to offer. Let me know if you find anything out.

Got the same annoying message once in a while (inconsistently) with my just-assembled-and-ready-to-go PC, using a Gigabyte Nvidia Geforce 6600GT (GV-NX66T128VP (passively cooled)). Have no clue whatsoever, so any advice on this topic might help me as well! Thx in advance to the one who comes with the ultimate tip...

Hi,
got the same problem but just since i have a Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS in my System.
I have a Gigabyte Geforce 6800 AGP 128 MB Card in my system. The error comes up every second boot an when it's there the v-tuner tool is not loaded in the taskbar.

well - i've got both a Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS in my System and a Gigabyte Geforce 6600 PCI 128 MB Card in my system.
I also get an error indicating that program colorload.exe has failed. along w/some other messages related to svchost.exe.
My guess is that I've had a hard drive failure and I'm going to uninstall and reinstall my colorload program and keep my fingers crossed.

I believe this error could be caused by the V-Tuner tool that comes with Gigabyte 6 series, I also get the same error and it only occured once I had installed and ran the V-Tuner utility.
This can be uninstalled from the control panel > add remove programs.
