I tried to install XP on this old laptop and it crapped out on me.
Therefore, I reinstalled Windows 98.
My problem is that the display only fills up about half the screen. My screen is about 12" diagonal and Windows is about 7" in the center of the screen.
When I go to Display in the Control Panel, and click on the Settings tab, the Screen area is 640 by 480 pixels and I can't move it. Colors are 16 colors (I have an additional selectable option for 2 colors).
The driver is Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA) version 4.10.1998 from Microsoft.
How can I get Windows to use the entire screen? Do I need a different driver? (I remember doing something like this years ago when I installed Windows 98 but don't remember the details.)
HELP!
Thanks,
Terry
