I have a toshiba tecra 8100 laptop and the chip is a s3 savage/mx. i have a promblem with direct x 9 i cant use it with the drivers that i have now i have been looking everwhere n i cant find any so if any 1 can help me i would really appreaceate it. thanks in advance to any help anyone can give me.

I take the ':(' on your post means that confus-ed you ? - you'll need to scroll to the end of the page hudonsmith links you to & either accept or decline the legal notice, to get to a list of drivers for your chip.

yea i did that the problem was that i all ready had those drivers for a long time so it was really no help thats why i put the :( for but i also found that there are no more drivers n that im stock with this n they dont even run direct x 9 so i have some problems with some games.

The long & the short of it would appear to be that your card is too old to support dx9 correctly - so yeah 'stuck with it' - sorry. (the 2003 server drivers it mentions don't support 3d either so completely SOL )
