HAS ANY ONE FOUND A WAY OF KEEPING THE DESIGNJET SERIES FROM EVENTUALY MISALIGNING PAPER? This is aggrivating as heck. I have tried cleaning it. It only seems to do it at the end of the spools of paper. Then I spend 10 minutes re aligning it. The CAD Operators here are driving me bonkers.

Hi,

While I wasn't able to find your particular problem, you might want to check HP's site below to download the manual for this monster:

http://www.hp.com/cposupport/manindex/hpdesignje1929_eng_man.html

Also, on the left-hand side of that page is a link called "Solve a Problem."

Also, please post only once...multiple postings can cause confusion.

Anyway, Good Luck!

We had a similar problem with a DesignJet 650C roll feed printer that we used for drafting. It required pinch roller realignment or resyncronization (something like that) by an HP tech guy. I've got an old DesignJet 230 sheet feed that won't properly sense the far edge of the paper. Maybe the sensor's dirty... http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum/smilies/cwm6.gif

Sorry about the multiple postings.

Darn, I hope I dont have to call a repair tech in on this. I do have to say I have grown to hate this ploter. I downloaded the manual about a year ago. HP has no suggestions other than BUY and new one.

Such is life
