- What are the major criteria for your decision when you shop for blank recordable DVD discs? Is it the brand name of the manufacturer? Or the maximum claimed write speed? Or the price per piece? The chaps over at X-Bit Labs have decided to check out over 40 different discs (http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/storage/display/dvd-discs.html) available in the market today to see how good they are.

I started out looking for Imation DVD's when I got my first dvd-writers, the problem is that the name on the box (e.g. imation) doesnt seem to mean that they are manufacturing it.

Check with Nero, what company manufactures them. Maybe they are listed there.
