I have just bought a USB Infrared adapter however I'm having trouble installing it on my WinXP machine. My OS is asking me to install an additional driver for a "USB-Serial Controller" which it had found just after i installed the drivers for the IR adapter. I don't know what this controller is needed for since i don't have any USB to Serial adapters... maybe the IRa is using serial communication over USB. In any case, I just could not find the driver neither on the motherboard driver cd nor on the IRa installation disk. The IRa in question is a MA620 USB Infrared Adapter (http://www.solware.co.uk/mobile-phone-infrared-adapters-ma-620/index.shtml) .
Can anyone please help me find a solution for this problem?

Thanks in advance :)

IRDA is just another form of serial communication therefore the adapter you're installing is said controller, put the CD in the drive and have windows search it for the correct driver, or see if theres a driver install program on the cd..... Which OS is it by the way?.....g

Thanks for the explanation Ahcoraj, however I have already installed the drivers provided with the IR dongle. After I restarted my PC, WinXP kept telling me that it had detected a USB-serial controller and asked me to search for the drivers. I inserted both the IRDA CD and the motherboard's cd but it could not find a suitable driver.
