I have a friend who has a Pentium PRO200 with 96 MB EDO RAM and a 20GB Hard Disk.

He has an HP Deskjet 970CXi.

When printing multiple documents or 25 and above pages the whole machine locks up while the print job finishes.

I know a faster processor and lots more memory would probably cure this instantly but that is out of the question at the moment.

Can anyone recommend anything to speed this process up so work can continue while print jobs are spooling?

Thanks in advance for your help.
