I have an OfficeJet G95 that I have hooked-up to the network via an HP JetDirect 170x (that came with it)

It worked fine witb Windows NT
When using the new set of drivers for Win2k pro (v.2.43 -this was the 1st released set), its a real nightmare. The drivers cause the workstations to slow down and processes hang and stop respongind on shutdown.

I found the best way to print to it is to configure it as an officejet 970 on an NT server, share it and print from the network that way.

Bummer is, can't use the scanning and faxing features.

HAs anyone else out there had such problems with this unit?

thanks

Hi,

The link below will take you to HP's website for your model:

http://www.officejetsupport.com/ojg/drivers2.htm

There is a link there for Patch Downloads...it talks about Uninstalling the software drivers before upgrading to Win2000...might be something to check into.

Let us know how it goes...Good Luck!

Even with 2.43 installed on a clean win 2k machine, it doesn't work well. I 'll jump on HP's site read-up any notes they might have on this issue.
