What version of Windows are you running? The exact steps to increase your virtual memory vary between versions. Also, this message could be an indication that your computer may be infected with a virus or spyware. Which AntiVirus and Antispyware programs do you run, are they up to date, etc.

May I make a quick suggestion? Try doing a search for all Normal.dot and delete them and see if this will cure the problem. When you do this search, make sure you go to advance options and put a check mark in the box to search all hidden files and folders.

To increase your virtual memory in XP (note, if the error comes back after this, you probably have a virus/file corruption problem):
1. Right click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop or in your start menu.
2. Select "Properties".
3. Select the "Advanced" tab.
4. Under "Performance", select "Settings".
5. Select the "Advanced" tab.
6. Under "Virtual Memory", select "Change".
7. For your paging file(s), select the initial size to be the same as the amount of physical memory you have and the maximum size to be twice that value. If the paging file is already that large, try increasing it, but don't let it get out of control. (4 times the size of your physical memory is a good upper limit)
