I usually install windows xp pro with administrator as default account.
2 of my clients added new accounts to their windows xp, and suddenly they cannot log on to the administrator account anymore, only to their new account.
How can i log into the default adminstrator acount again + to the account they have created ?
Thank you

If you made a password reset disk like you are supposed to :eek2: ;- Create a Password Reset Disk (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/learnmore/tips/keramidas1.mspx) then you wouldn't be asking

& as I'm forever in trouble about mentioning certain things .. a useful link perhaps ? (http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_administrator_password.htm)

Oh is that all you wanted ? Logging into safemode shows this account, or you can put the details of the account name in that you want, its not shown 'normally' for security reasons ..

CTRL-ALT-DEL at the welcome screen twice, Type in Administrator, and then password..should let you in that way...

This site explains how to make the Administrator account always visible by editing the registry.

Those are fixes for windows vista and windows 7. The information is useful however, it won't apply to windows xp.

Indeed Robin! But one cannot anticipate new users only responding to newer threads. Yes Robin I fear we have finally met an adversary more slippery than the Penguin and more nefarious than the Joker! This I fear will be the bane of the inhabitants of WinDrivers for posts to come.
