winxp comuputer browser service

im keep getting computer browser service timout error even i try to restart the service it will not maintain the server list.
Is there anyting i could do to rectify this problem i'm using winxp pro sp2

a workgroup with no server os running so winxp will become a computer browser

Whiz through your 'layout' then please..

DHCP on or static IP ? Other peer members are ? & I pressume no other resoltion method set, like wins ?

3 pc running winxp pro 2 desktop wif 1 notebook all these pc get their dncp from a router all can see each other in the network as well as share resources except one of the desktop cannot maintain the serverlist as the computer browser service cannot start this has no issues with the network setup but rather a problem on this particular pc
