Hi,
I'm looking for the HP Deskjet 540 Drivers for mac OS 7.5.3
I don't found them on the hp drivers-page (only the OS 8 and 9 drivers.....:-( )
If someone can tell me where they are, i'll be very gratefull.
Thanks for all.

You might want to check out HP's website for "Connecting to a Macintosh Computer" (http://www.hp.com/cposupport/printers/support_doc/bpm06186.html). Basically, it says that "HP does not provide a Macintosh connection solution for other HP Deskjet 300, 400, 500, 600, and 1100 series printers although other vendors may."
If you find a solution to your problem, please post it here so that others may learn also.
Good Luck!

I agree with the above; Canon made the StyleWriter's & HP made some DeskWriters - I have a black only that I'm not currently using. Steve would say buy a new box ... your box has got to be like 4-5 years old by now.
I don't like to flame old hardware, but lets face reality.
MicrCenter probably has a 'cable' that will go from your printer port to parallel. IMHO it never worked very well & took lots of cycles. A visit to your local reseller's may show you a viable option for about the same money as the 'cable'll cost you.
