Hi there, wonder if anyone can help. Since I bought panda platinum 7 a few months ago Ive had no problems at all, until lately. I noticed my firewall stopped asking my permission for access on certain things but was still asking about other certain things. Then yesterday I realised it hadn't asked my permission for anything in days! So I goto configure firewall to find the enabled box is unchecked, so I check it. Opening the interface fully it states firewall protection is enabled, but when going to configuration again the box is still unchecked, and the firewall just won't work anymore. I've still got windows firewall but this has never been a problem. I've a suspiscion it's to do with a microsoft anti-spyware beta version I downloaded, which runs all kinds of protection stuff. So I promptly got rid of this but the problem still persists! Any ideas? Thanks

I uninstalled panda to reinstall it but when restarting after uninstalling which was required, my pc completely shagged a few times saying physical memory dumped amongst other stuff. Eventually after a few restarts it stayed alive and I reinstalled panda AV and firewall. Only now, my XP security centre is saying my AV and firewall aren't switched on when they are. Another massive problem that's occured, is now my xbox won't connect to the internet (I go through the pc, not router either). What would usually happen when I turned xbox on, is request of a certain thing be allowed access through the firewall would pop up but now this isn't popping up. I could have sworn it was system32/nvsc32.exe so I entered it manually into firewalls list of allowances but to no avail. So damn wierd it's untrue. I download something from microsoft that should be nice and safe and it's ruined my pc!!

I've managed to connect through xbox now. But my problem is I'm having to manually do things that before it would all do automatically. Very complicated things are firewalls at times. If anyone recognises my probs and is familiar, I'd be grateful of any tips. :)
