I recently got a Creative PC-Cam 900 digital camera/webcam. the camera takes pictures fine, but the webcam doesn't work, I installed the software, but windows XP keeps saying it's not properly installed, and even after i let it install it, it STILL says it's not on properly and there are problems and it doesn't work. I already have a digital camera, and I want a webcam, is there anyway i can fix it?

Welcome to Windrivers 23 skidoo

Creative Web Cams have always been a tad difficult to get right in my experience.

Couple of questions for you. Have you been to creative to get the latest drivers/software?

Is it the software that is not installed or is it the driver for the cam that XP is whining about?

Do you have a TV card or other Video In card?

Did you plug the webcam in first, then install the driver or the other way round? Please list the steps you took to install it.

What service pack of XP are you running?

Thanks, I fixed it myself, it just took a little time, I had to let XP re-install it 3 different ways with new drivers via the device manager.

Creative = Hassletown
