Hi, looking for an app that analyzes the computer Hardware for any malfunctions and errors. Like hardware diagnostics Anyone know of any good ones?

I am starting a PC repair shop. I have made a work order request .doc and a doc for the Tech to speak with client before starting on the job. First is to confirm the status of the PC, does it even turn on. Cause one person asked me to get his comp working and the Mobo was fired. If I didn’t check with him these things, he could have said, “my comp was working when I gave it to you.” Another is to run a hardware diagnostic before we even start to make sure someone isn’t bringing in a comp that’s about to blow and expect us to fix circuit problems. If those two aspect are good, then ghost the primary drive before even starting. Any advice from experienced managers?

Been working for companies for 10 years, finally trying to start doing it on my own :). It’s not easy at all, but very tuff.

In your 10 years experience working for the other company, what do they use???

Hardware diagnosis by a simple program?? Would it be Windows based or Dos???

You might want to rethink the starting on your own. Maybe start working part time on your own. Pass out flyers, word of mouth business. See if you're successful first.

Good Luck
