I have a HP Deskjet 697C using Windows 95 running Printmaster Gold 4.0. When I try to print an envelope, I select #10 env. from print properties. When the paper comes out, it has a faint horizontal dotted line running just about through the center of the address line. I am running the ver. 11 HP software driver.
Thanks in advance for all ideas. <IMG SRC="smilies/cool.gif" border="0">

You might check out HP's website for your DeskJet (http://www.hp.com/cposupport/swindexes/dj697c_swen.html). It looks like there is a version 11.0.1 for Win95...might be something worth checking out.
Also, does it only print that line on envelopes or on plain paper also? If all the time, you might want to go here for directions on cleaning your DeskJet printer. (http://www.officejet-support.com/dj600/supplies.htm)
Also, go here for the User's Guide for your DeskJet. (http://www.hp.com/cposupport/manindex/dj697c_eng_man.html)
I suppose as a last resort, you might try swapping out the ink cartridges with new ones.
Just a couple of ideas...
Let us know how it goes...Good Luck!
