Double side printing problems with HP PhotoSmart printer

Hi, I got a new HP PhotoSmart P1100 printer that can print both sides, but even when printing only a 1 page document, the printer still turns the page around and pulls it back out with a blank 2nd side, is there a way to not make it waste time turning 1 page documents around for nothing?
