Hi,
I have a Canon i960 inkjet printer that occasionally prints part of what I'm trying to print, then just stops.
I've found that when I reboot the page gets printed in full.
I though it was happening just on a particular type of photo print, but it did it to a spreadsheet print today.
Thanks

Swapped out the printer cable?

Thanks NooNoo
XP with USB
I'm trying the driver switch out method (looks like they have one at Canon now) - uninstalling first!.
I've got another cable, so will try if I get the prob again.
It'll take time to figure out - as it only happens once in a while.
Thanks again.

If the canon is still in warranty, phone them because more often than not, they can give you something to try which will prove whether the printer is faulty.

Sometimes event viewer can give you some indication where the problem might be. Lower end printers sometimes time out when trying to print large files, is it just stopping dead where it is or perhaps trying to calibrate? I'd use the driver to run those little tests and troubleshooting pointers that comes with the software driver, communication, calibration, etc.
