VPN with 3 locations. MultiTech routers with Firewall. Problem is router at home location reboots every morning between 8am and 9:30am anytime the branches push traffic to home location. Stayed up on Sunday when there was no traffic. After 9:30am, everything works fine with no drops until 8am of the next morning. I have swapped out the router with the same results. We have run virus scans. local and online on all computers with no virus's found. Any idea's would be appreciated!!!!!

You looked at the logs to see what sort of traffic it's getting? Is it getting hot? Does it need a firmware update?
How about the possibility of a dodgy cable causing it?

Found the problem. Our security oufit was port scanning during the day and overloading our routers. We contacted them to scan at night and have had no problems since. They claimed that they have been scanning during the day for two years - but is hard to belive since we have had a problem only for two weeks and now everything works Ok. Who knows- I'm just glad we found the problem.

Anyway, you were right about the logs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!

We are a financial institution and if we did all the tests that the Fed wants, all our bandwidth would be used for testing.

... well if it was all tied up testing for holes, then no one could get in - security at it's finest :D
