I have problem with my cd driver type :(creative infra 52x ) it's can't read any disk

Can you play a commercially manufactured music CD using the front panel play button and headphone socket? (Or if the system has an analog audio cable connection to the sound card, but front panel headphone makes sure.)

If this won't work, the fault is internal to the drive, and you would be limited to trying a clean of the laser lens. If it will play this way, but not work through Windows, then we can investigate further.

You know, I've personally junked around 50 of these Creative infra drives...all dead, and not from one place either, doing freelance work, ALOT of dead infra drives, my old one included and plenty of models.
