I have a printer that is hooked up to my usb port
and i am buying a new printer that i will connect
to my parallel port.Can i use both?

Yes.
Providing usb controller is not sharing an irq with the parallel port.

Of course.
And if you had a second USB one, you could use it as a third printer too.

i courese it will work. there is no problems with usb or lpt port

I have that setup running on this PC. HP Laserjet 1100A on the LPT, Deskjet 970 on USB.
It works great on Win ME, and this PC is also used as a print server for the other 2 PCs (one has a 722 through the LPT, also).
I've even gotten 2 scanners (3 if you count the 1100A) working on this PC, both USB (1100A LPT)...
Gotta love USB... ;)
Just make sure you send the jobs to the correct printer... I made the mistake once of sending a 300 page document to the Inkjet (ink is a lot more expansive than toner per page!)... :rolleyes: :D
