I cant play CDs

I recently had my hard drive replaced and now I can't play CDs. Some of my old games won't play either. I have a Presario 5uvme2, under the device manager tab it says COMPAQ CD-ROM CRD-8484B. I hope this is enough information. Thanks for any help.

Nope that's not enough info .. I can ask you a zillion questions & we can try & figure it out, but since you said "..recently had my hard drive replaced..", that sounds like you paid for it to get done, so I'd be off looking for whoever did it & telling them they've got some fixing to do ;)
