I know you can purchase scanners with cards for networking in them. Does anyone know if they make like a jetdirect type of unit that will work for scanners like it does for printers?

This is the only thing I could find on HP's website concerning Jetdirect Print Servers. It lists a couple of their OfficeJet's All-in-One Series but I couldn't find a straight out scanner that comes with JetDirect...only parallel, USB or SCSI.
Let us know if you find anything else.

I think the HP Scanjet 6000 series were "network ready", and would assume that the higher # series are, too (7000, 8000, etc..).

If you're looking for a sheetfed one b&w, I'd say go with the laserjet 3200 (I think thats the current model), it is also network ready.

Good luck!

HP has Digital Senders these are network scanners and I believe you can use the new WEBjetadmin to administer them but not completely sure.

Low end ones go $3K (US$)
