Could anyone please help with a TS-H552B problem? I have firmware TS11 installed, however when I want to burn a CD the drive does not recognise a disk having been inserted. I have tried 3 different programs including Nero and none recognise a blank disk, even though I have tried 3 different makes of disk (TDK, Infiniti & Datasafe). If I run Nero Infotool it will recognise a pre-burnt CD, but not any blank disks, it just states - No disk inserted. I would really appreciate any assistance with this as I have tried everything that I can think of!

You don't have CloneCD or a similar CDr hiding program running do you?
This one caught me out once ;)

On the same kind of line of thinking, multiple bits of burning software all introduce their own propriety 'filter class load' drivers, just like 'virtual cd/dvd' programs mentioned above - My first port of call with these symptoms would be to try the 'upper & lower filters fix' mentioned in the sticky at the top of this forum - & do any further tests with just one bit of burning software installed, as it'll make troubleshooting easier ;)
